ERIC SCOTT
Varsity Head Coach
Coach Scott took over as Head Coach of the Montini Baseball program in Spring 2023 after serving on the staff since 2009. He spent 11 of his 15 years as Varsity Hitting Coach and one season as Head Sophomore Coach.
During his tenure, Montini has captured 10 IHSA Regional Championships and the 2019 IHSA 3A State Title.
Beyond Montini, Coach Scott has served as Head Catching Instructor for the Bulls/Sox Academy, worked under Justin Stone as a hitting instructor, and collaborated with former MLB player Jody Gerut on his MAPP hitting philosophy. He has also coached for the White Sox, Pirates, and Windy City travel programs.
Scott caught for four seasons at Quincy University, helping his team reach the GLVC Tournament. He began his collegiate career at Oakton Community College, where his team won a Skyway Conference Championship.
Coach Scott lives in Grayslake, IL, with his wife, Kimberly, and their daughter, Adeline.

VARSITY ASSISTANT COACHES
JORDAN LAZOWSKI '15
Varsity Pitching Coach
A Montini Baseball alum, Coach Lazowski enters his fifth season on staff and third as pitching coach. Under his direction, our pitching staff set a program record with 270 strikeouts in 2023.
Lazowski has also coached four years for the Midwest Region of USA Baseball’s National Team Identification Series (NTIS), leading their 16U team to a Gold Medal this summer. He has also served as a head coach within the Los Angeles Dodgers Scout Team program, leading both their Academic Team and 2029 Scout Team.
A Notre Dame graduate, Lazowski served as Head of Analytics for the Irish’s baseball program, developing scouting and internal reports via development tools such as Trackman, Rapsodo, Blast Motion, and Edgertronic.

RYAN KELLEY
Varsity Hitting Coach
Coach Kelley started at Montini in 2020 as our Head Fresh/Soph Coach before joining our varsity staff in 2021 as an assistant pitching coach and first base coach. The 2026 season will be his first as our hitting coach.
For the past three years, Kelley has also coached with the LA Dodgers 2027 Scout Team and with the Midwest Region for USA Baseball’s NTIS. In addition to baseball, he has spent the last three years coaching freshman basketball at Glenbard North High School and on the AAU circuit with the BIG3 program.
A former two-sport collegiate athlete, Coach Kelley pitched and threw the javelin for national-champion programs at Augustana University. He resides in Wheaton with his wife, Jenna.

WALLY WEISENBERGER '75
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Weisenburger has been a cornerstone of the Montini Baseball program since 1980, working extensively with our hitters, infielders, and outfielders through decades of sustained success. During his tenure, Montini has captured 18 Conference Titles, 20 Regional Titles, and three state title runs, including Montini's only State Championship in 2019.
He also coaches with the Lombard Orioles, a collegiate team in the Chicago Suburban League, where he’s been part of two National Championships, two National Runner-Ups, and three Third Place finishes.
A former four-year player at St. Mary’s (MN), Weisenburger lives in Lombard with his wife, Rita.

GREG SPANOS
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Spanos is entering his third season with Montini Baseball, now serving as an assistant coach for our varsity team after two years with our junior varsity staff. Also currently a coach with the Walk Off Baseball, Spanos brings more than 15 years of coaching experience.
A three-sport athlete at Auburn High School (MA), Spanos earned All-State honors in baseball and football and was inducted into the Auburn Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010. He played at Trinity College (CT), where he was a four-year starter, two-year captain, and earned All-New England and Gold Glove honors. Spanos also represented the Greek National & Olympic Baseball Team (2002–2004).
