The Broncos have their sights set on the 2026 season, and that preparation officially began this week with the finalization of Montini Baseball’s coaching staff.
Head Coach Eric Scott announced his staff for his third season leading the program, with strong continuity from the 2025 campaign. Scott enters his 15th season at Montini, continuing to guide a program rooted in tradition, development, and competitive excellence.

- Jordan Lazowski ’15: Pitching Coach (5th season)
- Ryan Kelley: Hitting Coach (5th season)
- Wally Weisenberger ’75: Assistant Coach (46th season)
- Greg Spanos: Assistant Coach (3rd season)
Lazowski, Kelley, and Weisenberger all return from last season’s varsity staff, while Greg Spanos joins the varsity level after two seasons as the junior varsity assistant coach. Spanos brings more than 15 years of coaching experience to the program. A three-sport athlete at Auburn High School (MA), he earned All-State honors in both baseball and football and was inducted into the Auburn Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.
Ryan Kelley will serve as the team’s hitting coach for the first time after sharing pitching responsibilities with Lazowski over the past three seasons. Lazowski now steps into the role of sole pitching coach. Kelley is a former two-sport collegiate athlete, having pitched and competed in the javelin for national championship programs at Augustana University.
Both Lazowski (Class of 2015) and Weisenberger (Class of 1975) are proud Montini alumni. Lazowski, a Notre Dame graduate, previously served as Head of Analytics for the Irish baseball program, where he developed scouting and internal evaluation reports using player development technologies such as TrackMan, Rapsodo, Blast Motion, and Edgertronic. Weisenberger, a former four-year player at St. Mary’s University (MN), has been a cornerstone of the Montini Baseball program since 1980, contributing to decades of sustained success.
While the lower-level coaching staffs are still being finalized, Chad Polak will lead the Junior Varsity team for a third season. Pat Salem will take over the Fresh/Soph team after serving as an assistant coach last year.
